Multiple Bomb Blasts Rock ECWA Church In Jos Today

Thousands of worshipers escaped death by the whiskers as four powerful blasts rocked Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) in Tudun Wada area of Jos North Local Government of Plateau State.

The blasts were said to have gone off in quick succession at about 8am Sunday morning.

A security guard we gathered averted what would have been a high casualty from the bomb planted at the church entrance

The ECWA church was filled with worshippers when the private security guard spotted the bomb at the entrance, witnesses said.

The guard picked the bomb and threw it off the church before it exploded instantly. No one was killed from the explosion, although the guard sustained injuries on the leg and is currently being treated, a worshipper said.

Another witness said the police anti-bomb squad, on arrival, discovered another explosive device that was planted at the restroom of the church.

The ECWA church in Tudunwa is located near the Federal Secretariat in Jos, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Meanwhile, the police have also said no one was killed from the explosion.
