The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), John Odigie-Oyegun, has called for an emergency meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) today, September 28, as the ministerial list is expected to be forwarded to the Senate on or before Wednesday, September 30.

According to Vanguard, discussions would be held on multiple crises bedeviling the party since it emerged the ruling party.

Also on the agenda according to an impeccable source, is the rift between the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna state.

It was learnt that el-Rufai who is seen in some quarters as the 'unofficial vice president' made uncomplimentary comment about Osinbajo, leading to the alleged protest walk out on the president.

Osinbajo was quoted to have said: "I am an elected Vice President and would not sit down here and allow a governor to insult me."

The source disclosed further that the ruling party is still struggling with the crisis of managing its success at the March 28 presidential, National Assembly and gubernatorial elections. He said that these crises are affecting the smooth running of government, adding that Nigerians are at the receiving end.

A top member of the NWC also revealed that on the table for discussion is the ministerial list that has put the party and President Buhari at edge over the choices.

The fight between the national leader of the party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former vice president Atiku Abubakar over the chairmanship of the Board of Trustee of the party would also be discussed in the parley.

He concluded by saying that media war between Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo state and the former Bayelsa governor, Timipre Sykva will be deliberated on.

Meanwhile, a former governor of Oyo state and national leader of Accord Party (AP), Rashidi Ladoja had advised the leadership of the APC to resolve their crisis in order not to distract President Buhari.
