Recently, a news broke out that Olu Maintain was kicked out of his apartment over his inability to keep up with the payment of his rent.
Speaking to HipTV in a recent interview, Mr Olu shut down the report, saying they're all lies. In his words he said:
"You know when you're a public figure, everything you do becomes a news and as a music artiste; anytime you don't have a new material for your fans, they can possibly come up with some funny gist about you.
" I am not broke in anyway and funny as it may sound, i don't wear cc's, i only do Diamonds and anyone who knows diamond would know that they don't come cheap' he said.
About a year ago, Olu Maintain was quoted to have acquired a diamond wristwatch worth N10m.
"I have a diamond wristwatch I got for $20,000 in 2009 and another gold plated Rolex wristwatch I bought recently which gulped $26,000. This [new] diamond wristwatch is far ahead every other fashion item I have because the carat is quite heavy and the cheapest line of the watch you can get from the jeweller who customized mine presently costs about $60,000." he said this in March 2014.
On his relationship status, Olu Maintain said he's very much single, he however didn't speak on any possible commitment soon.
Olu Maintain also spoke on his likeness for Nigerian dancehall queen, Cynthia Morgan. Mr Olu confirmed his likeness for Cynthia Morgan but says he can't date the artiste basically cause he's a very difficult person and he'll apparently break her heart.
